Yes! We show that gas vesicles are exceptionally good &#8220;acoustic antennae&#8221;, experiencing strong acoustic forces relative to their nm size. In ultrasound gradients, GVs and cells expressing them get pushed more strongly &#8211; and in the opposite direction &#8211; from other biological materials.
